BaroView shows the device’s raw barometer sensor reading at your current location. Weather apps often show sea-level adjusted values from stations or weather models.
Relative altitude depends on your reference point and local pressure changes. Try resetting the reference at a known location and wait a few seconds for the reading to stabilize.
Make sure Location Services are enabled for BaroView in iOS Settings. If you prefer, you can keep location disabled — the app still works without it.

The App is distributed exclusively via the Apple App Store. No additional distribution platforms are used.
The App may process the following data categories exclusively on the user’s device:
These values are accessed directly from the device’s sensors and displayed in real time.
Location access is limited to “When In Use” permission and is used only to display the current coordinates.
No data is used for analytics, profiling, advertising, or tracking.
The App does not create user profiles or maintain histories.
The App may offer voluntary donations via Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Donations are optional, provide no additional features or benefits, and are not a condition for using the App. All payment processing is handled exclusively by Apple. The App does not receive payment or billing information. Apple’s own privacy policies apply.
Users located in the European Union or the United Kingdom have the right to access personal data, request rectification or deletion, restrict or object to processing, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Since the App does not store or transmit personal data, most rights are fulfilled automatically by design.
BaroView does not sell, share, or disclose personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). Users may contact the provider for information requests. No discrimination occurs for exercising privacy rights.
The App is intended for users aged 13 years or older. The App does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
If the App displays contact information such as an email address, the provider is not responsible for the privacy practices of external services.
All processing occurs locally on the device. No network transmission of personal data takes place, minimizing security risks by design.

Try moving slightly closer, keeping the text in focus and reducing glare. Recognition quality can vary with motion, very small text, stylized fonts and low contrast.
Apple’s system translation may need to download the selected language before it can translate on device. Once the required language resources are available, translations can be performed locally.
Mandarin contains many homophones. Pinyin can therefore be ambiguous without context, so a conversion may not always produce the intended characters.
Send us the original Hanzi or Pinyin, the result you received and what you expected.

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may process information related to downloads, purchases, device eligibility and App Store use under Apple’s own terms and privacy policies.
The App requests camera permission only when camera functionality is used.
Camera frames are processed on the device using Apple system frameworks for text recognition. The purpose is to detect Chinese characters and display pronunciation information such as Pinyin directly in the camera view.
HanziTranslator does not upload the camera feed to a Too Legit Software server and does not maintain a cloud history of camera images or recognized text.
Romanization features such as Hanzi-to-Pinyin are performed locally using system functionality and app logic. Text entered into the App is used only to provide the requested reading, conversion or translation functionality.
The App uses Apple’s system translation functionality for supported language pairs. Required language resources may need to be downloaded by iOS before translation is available.
Translation is designed to run on device using Apple-provided language resources once they are available. Too Legit Software does not operate a server that receives or stores the text you translate through this feature.
Some on-device language features may only be available on supported devices and operating-system versions.
The App may store basic preferences locally on your device, including selected Chinese mode, selected target language and whether optional camera translation is enabled. These settings are used to remember your choices and are not used to create an advertising profile.
HanziTranslator does not use third-party advertising networks and does not perform cross-app tracking. At the time of this policy, the App does not use third-party behavioral analytics to create profiles of users.
If you choose to contact support, the App may open your email application with technical information that helps diagnose a problem, such as device model, iOS version, selected Chinese mode and selected target language.
You decide whether to send the email and may edit or remove its contents before sending. Once sent, the information in your message is transmitted through your chosen email provider and received by Too Legit Software for the purpose of responding to your request.
Support correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, document the issue and comply with applicable legal obligations. You may request deletion of support correspondence where legally applicable.
Too Legit Software does not sell personal information. The App does not share user text, camera content or app usage data with advertisers or data brokers. System services provided by Apple, including App Store distribution and downloads of Apple-provided language resources, are governed by Apple’s own privacy terms.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal data, including access, rectification, deletion, restriction, objection, portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Because most app content is processed locally and is not stored by Too Legit Software, Too Legit Software may not possess the local content to which such a request relates. Support emails are an exception because they are received when you voluntarily send them.
HanziTranslator does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents may contact Too Legit Software regarding applicable privacy rights.
HanziTranslator is not specifically directed at children and does not knowingly build profiles about children. The App does not require accounts, advertising identifiers or behavioral tracking. If a parent or guardian believes personal information has been provided to Too Legit Software through a support request, they may contact us to request appropriate action.
The App is designed to minimize data exposure by performing core camera recognition, pronunciation and translation functionality on the device where supported. No security method is perfect, but avoiding an unnecessary user-data backend reduces the amount of information transmitted to or retained by Too Legit Software.
