This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application BaroView
(“the App”) processes personal data.
BaroView is designed as a privacy-friendly, offline-first utility
app. The App does not operate servers, does not perform tracking,
and does not transmit user data to third parties.

3. App Distribution
The App is distributed exclusively via the Apple App Store.
No additional distribution platforms are used.
4. Categories of Data Processed
The App may process the following data categories exclusively on the user’s device:
4.1 Sensor Data
– Atmospheric pressure (barometer)
– Relative altitude
These values are accessed directly from the device’s sensors and
displayed in real time.
4.2 Location Data
– Geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude)
Location access is limited to “When In Use” permission and is used
only to display the current coordinates.
5. Purpose of Data Processing
Data is processed solely for the following purposes:
– Displaying live sensor readings
– Displaying the user’s current geographic coordinates
– Providing the core functionality of the App
No data is used for analytics, profiling, advertising, or tracking.
6. Data Storage and Retention
– All data is processed locally on the device only
– No data is transmitted to servers
– No data is stored permanently
– All data exists only temporarily during active app usage
– All data is discarded when the App is closed
The App does not create user profiles or maintain histories.
7. Data Sharing and Third Parties
BaroView does not:
– share data with third parties
– sell data
– use analytics services
– use advertising networks
– use external APIs or SDKs
8. In-App Purchases / Donations
The App may offer voluntary donations via Apple’s In-App Purchase
system.
Donations:
– are optional
– provide no additional features or benefits
– are not a condition for using the App
All payment processing is handled exclusively by Apple. The App does
not receive payment or billing information. Apple’s own privacy
policies apply.
9. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), processing
is based on:
– Article 6(1)(b): processing necessary for providing the App’s
functionality
– Article 6(1)(f): legitimate interest in operating a
privacy-friendly utility app
10. User Rights (EU / UK)
Users located in the European Union or the United Kingdom have the
right to:
– access personal data
– request rectification or deletion
– restrict or object to processing
– lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Since the App does not store or transmit personal data, most rights
are fulfilled automatically by design.
11. Rights of California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
BaroView does not sell, share, or disclose personal information as
defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).
Users may contact the provider for information requests. No
discrimination occurs for exercising privacy rights.
12. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for users aged 13 years or older. The App does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
13. External Links
If the App displays contact information (such as an email address), the provider is not responsible for the privacy practices of external services.
14. Security
All processing occurs locally on the device. No network transmission of personal data takes place, minimizing security risks by design.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if legal or technical requirements change. The latest version is always available within the App.
